When it comes to ethical and sustainable fashion, consciously-crafted dresses are not too hard to come by. With natural materials like organic cotton, linen, and bamboo, not to mention recycled synthetics like polyesters all making good fabrics for pretty, flowing dresses, most ethical fashion brands seem to offer at least a couple sustainable dresses to choose from. And because we recently finished a big update to our shop page over here, I already had lots to share for the 2026 season. Below, find a few forever favorites (that’s the power of slow fashion—sometimes you can still find your favorite designs even years later), as well as lots of choices from new-to-us conscious fashion brands! From midis with handpainted prints to linen maxis, here are all our top reccs!

sustainably made dresses for spring and summer ’26
Oh Seven Days’ spring/summer line is my favorite of theirs yet. The Dani dress is designed with a relaxed drop waist, a scooped low back and pretty florals, made from sustainably sourced cotton. This year, it is offered in three new floral prints.

This green quilted dress is another unique and spectacular pick from Oh Seven Days! Also available in black.

Another piece I’ve fallen in love with for a few seasons now, the Rujuta Sheth Malibu dress in a checkered rainbow of pastels. I hope it comes back in my size!

Rujuta Sheth’s Leila design in Jupiter Chex is another forever favorite sustainably made dress.

This custom color block tiered dress by Allis Patterns is offered in pink and matcha green. Both so perfectly spring!

You’ll find a rainbow of dresses – all custom made-to-order in XS-5x – at Isabella Eve Apparel‘s shop.

Everyone needs a butter yellow dress for the season, yes? This easy breezy yellow dress is 100% linen from Linen Fox. The simple design has large sleeves and bow ties down the middle.

You may know Mixed from their fun jumpsuits in bold prints, but they make dresses that are just as magical. This is the Orchid Maxi Dress in sizes XS-XXL. There are other beautiful prints offered, but I’m loving the tropical vibe of the Orchid. Learn about this brand’s sustainability practices here.

Canadian designer Oge Ajibe is known for ethically made, size inclusive small batch clothing in sizes from XS to 6XL. One of her recent designs is a spring silhouette that flatters all bodies, and comes in a chartreuse-y yellow and pink.

Sustainably made dresses from London based Nobody’s Child are offered in so many lovely prints and styles, from cottagecore to classic to polka dot and smocked minis too. You’ll even find good bridesmaid dress options here too! I’m currently into the 90s vibes in the pretty floral mini above.

The Fiona Dress in Blush, from Whimsy & Row’s wedding collection, makes a gorgeous sustainable bridesmaid dress, but could be reworn for tons of warm weather occasions.

Heading out on a summer picnic? A Christy Dawn maxi dress is perfect for the occasion.

OffOn is one of my favorite Etsy shops, and their relaxed, elevated-casual vibe is exactly why. My latest obsession is this tiered summer dress in chartreuse. You can choose from 40 colors, though!

Another favorite Etsy shop selling sustainably made dresses, Love and Confuse offers up sweet and timeless designs like this Oeko-Tex certified linen mini dress in one of my favorite spring hues. It’s also offered in nearly endless colors, so there’s no way you won’t find something right for you!

Portland’s Ersa Fibers is all about cheerful fashion in exclusive prints and inclusive sizing. Pieces are made to order just for you!

My goodness, the organic poppy dress by No Nasties might be the prettiest one yet! I love the easy, loose fitting design and the bit of scoop in the back.
